This is a three paragraph summarization of the in-class discussion about the field [although many contest this moniker] of Ecomusicology, otherwise known as "eco-critical" Musicology.
The reading discussed is Aaron S. Allen's 2011 article published by The Journal of American Musicological Society entitled "Colloquy: Ecomusicology: Ecocriticism and Musicology." The article forms a chapter in his broader 2019 monograph entitled "Current Directions in Ecomusicology," published by Routledge.
